At our church, we make a "big deal about it" when people become new members. Why? Because we believe we grow in Christ every time we make spiritual commitments. Whether it's Water Baptism, Church Membership, or just saying "Yes" to God as an act of obedience, that's a big deal to God and a big deal to us. These followers of Jesus have committed to four important things: 1. I will protect the unity of my church 2. I will share the responsibility of my church 3. I will serve the ministry of my church 4.
